First Look at the Jennifer's Body Graphic Novel

Boom! Studios offered ShockTillYouDrop.com an exclusive first look at the forthcoming tie-in graphic novel they’re at work on for the horror film Jennifer’s Body. What we have is the first nine pages, illustrated by Jim Mahfood (“Clerks”), as well as two covers: One for the direct market by Eric Jones (which will be available only in comic specialty stores), the other by Cho for the mass market (Barnes & Noble, Border, et al.).

The movie event of the Fall is the comic book event of this Summer! Juno’s award-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody brings you Jennifer’s Body starring Megan Fox as a demonically-possessed cheerleader with a taste for killing teenage boys! In this original graphic novel that ties into the movie and expands on its universe, BLACK METAL’s Rick Spears brings you even more hellish Jennifer stories with art by HACK/SLASH’s Tim Seely, KICK DRUM COMIX’ Jim Mahfood, DMZ’s Nikki Cook, and POPGUN’s Ming Doyle.

Look for the graphic novel to hit stores in August. Around that time we’ll have more goodies to share!

Next Up: Jennifer's Body

After playing such weighty roles as motorbike “warrior princess” in the “Transformers” franchise and sexy starlet in “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People,” the sultry seductress will be showing off her formidable acting chops in sure-to-be classic “Jennifer’s Body.”

The 23-year-old Fox stars stretches out in the title role as a high-school cheerleader who turns into a knife-wielding, boy-eating killing machine after being possessed by a demon.

Publicity stills feature Fox looking like a hot mess, covered in blood and wearing a ripped miniskirt.

Even if the Academy somehow overlooks her performance in this gem, Fox still has her awards as reigning lad mag hot list queen.

The film, due out in September, is directed by Karyn Kusama (“Aeon Flux) and the screenplay was written by Diablo Cody of “Juno” fame.

Jennifer's Body Comic Book

With the very sexy Megan Fox starring in Jennifer’s Body the film has been one of the most popular here at HM.ca central. Now to try and build on that popularity Fox Atomic is teaming up with BOOM studios to release a trade paperback to tie-in with the movie. Below is the small blurb about the book from the official website:

Inside Shia and Megan Fox's Dinner: Friendly, Cake-Filled Fun

While it’s easy to speculate when two sexy young stars enjoy an intimate dinner, we hate to break it to you–Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf are just pals.

Photos of the Transformers stars enjoying a quiet meal before their Los Angeles premiere on Monday sent Internet tongues wagging, wondering if Michael Bay’s topliners were getting romantic.

“They are such nice kids and they had a friendly dinner before their movie,” restaurateur Angelo Peloni sets the record straight with RadarOnline.com.

The owner of La Bruschetta Ristorante in the Westwood section of LA welcomed the two, where he said dinner was strictly platonic.

“They just seemed like old friends having a nice night. They didn’t touch or hold hands or anything. Shia kept telling Megan jokes and funny stories and she was laughing the whole time,” Peloni said.

And to those who think Fox is on a stringent diet for her blockbuster body, think again.

“Megan ate a whole plate of pasta arribiata and had a glass of wine,” her waiter Rob, the owner’s son, tells us.

“She had the chocolate cake for dessert and she ate the entire middle of the cake. Shia had a few bites but she ate most of it!”

LaBeouf snuck outback for a cigarette before returning to pick up the tab for the duo–where we’re assured he tipped generously.

Megan's hair fell out during her depression

Transformers beauty Megan Fox lost so much weight during a period of depression her hair started to fall out.

The star grew paranoid she was only successful as a result of her good looks, and deliberately piled on the pounds.

But her weight dropped dramatically when she became obsessed with her image while shooting scenes for upcoming movie Jennifer’s Body.

Fox plays a high school cheerleader who turns into a man-eating killer when she is possessed by a demon in the film.

And she tried to convince herself she was losing weight
in an effort to prepare for the role – but secretly knew it was because she felt so low.

Fox tells Britain’s Gq magazine, “Really my only job is to look attractive. I was so angry about that, that I went in the opposite direction. I turned into a really butch bull dyke for, like, six months… Then I went in the other direction. From being a giant motorcycle-riding lesbian, I turned into a zombie. I lost, like, 30 pounds.”

She adds, “I was like, ‘I’m losing weight for the movie’. I was telling myself I was being Method, which was so outrageous and ridiculous and not true.

“But I ended up getting sick and my hair started falling out and I was like, ‘Oh f**k. I can’t do this’… You lose too much weight, you’re not getting your vitamins, you get sick. I was really skinny. I was depressed.”
