Megan Fox To Recieve The 2011 Maui Film Festival Iris Award!

Congratulations Megan!

Megan Fox will receive the 2011 Maui Film Festival Iris Award, it was announced today by Barry Rivers, Director of the event, which will be held June 15-19, 2011, at the Wailea Resort in Maui. The Iris Award honors Megan Fox as a film artist with heartfelt respect for the environment and a willingness to support the causes she believes in, through both her film career and her philanthropy. Fox will be presented the Iris Award at the Maui Film Festival Opening Night on June 15th, at Celestial Cinema located at the Wailea Gold & Emerald Golf Course.

Following her Award Presentation, later in the night, there will be a screening of “NA NAI’A: Legend of The Dolphins,” narrated by Fox, as well as other stars including Kate Winslet, Ellen Page, Gerard Butler, James Franco, Julian Lennon, Diego Luna, Whoopi Goldberg, Isabella Rossellini and Daryl Hannah. “NA NAI’A: Legend of The Dolphins” is an amazing, awe-inspiring, true-life documentary unfolding a story of legendary proportions. Experience an adventure like no other on the planet — a spectacular journey under the sea capturing the incredible beauty and staggering you-are-there drama of the dolphins…discover their power, their message to humanity, and the importance of their survival in this larger than life adventure through the oceans of the eight corners of the Earth.

Passion Play News!

Passion Play, starring Mickey Rourke, Bill Murray and Megan Fox will be available on video-on-demand on May 6, the same day that it debuts in theaters, DISH Network said on Wednesday. Moreover, it won’t bear a premium pricetag. DISH said the movie can be viewed in high definition for $5.99 or $4.99 in standard definition. Released by Image Entertainment the so-called day-and-date release would ordinarily have been greeted with anger by theater owners, who are waging a resolute battle against such early releases on video-on-demand. Except that it’s difficult to determine where it will be playing. Online ticket sellers Fandango has no theaters listed for the movie, and indeed Entertainment Weekly reported last month that the movie will be going straight to DVD on May 31 after receiving mostly negative reviews when it debuted last September at the Toronto Film Festival. Los Angeles Times writer Mark Olsen noted at the time that the movie was received by the audience “as something of a spectacular folly.”

I’m definitely going to be ordering it in HD video-on-demand!

New “Passion Play” Stills & Website

Image Entertainment released the official website for Megan’s latest movie “Passion Play.” It shows when the movie will hit theaters and where you can go and see it. According to Image Entertainment’s website the DVD and Blu-ray comes out May 31st.

“Passion Play” Gets Release Date

Image Entertainment has officially announced their plans to bring the 2010 Mitch Glazer independent action/drama film “Passion Play” starring Mickey Rourke, Bill Murray, and Megan Fox to Blu-ray Disc on May 24th.

It’s now available for pre-order at Amazon.com. Image Entertainment has given “Passion Play” a R rating for language, some sexuality/nudity, violence and brief drug use. (Click thumbnail to view larger size of traded ad)
