Jonah Hex Trailer & Captures

Because, Speakeasy assumes, not nearly enough obscure-to-the-mainstream comic book heroes have been brought to the big screen, Hollywood is bringing the world “Jonah Hex,” starring Josh Brolin in the title role, and Megan Fox as his love interest. The plot of the movie, which is based on the DC comic book series: a scarred bounty hunter (Brolin) has to hunt down a villain played by John Malkovich. The movie will likely answer the question of whether the Oscar-nominated Brolin can act through layers of makeup and whether the not-so-Oscar-nominated Fox can act at all. The movie is due out June 18.

Jonah Hex Poster Revealed

The new poster for JONAH HEX has been revealed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Based off the graphic novel about Jonah (Josh Brolin), a violent, scarred bounty hunter who has survived death but has been left in two sides of life. In order to erase his debt, he must track down an evil terrorist by the name of Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich). It’s a basic good vs. evil story about a man trying to find redemption.

The action adventure film will hit theaters June 18 and is directed by Jimmy Hayward. The rest of the cast includes Megan Fox, Will Arnett and Michael Shannon. Based off the cast, description and pictures, I think this will be a good time at theater. But we’ll have a better idea based off the trailer, which should be released later this week.

Get Ready For Jonah Hex!

According to scifimafia.com the trailer for Jonah Hex will premiere on SyFy, April 29th and make it’s theatrical debut in front of A Nightmare on Elm Street, which opens the following day (April 30th).

Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) is a scarred drifter and bounty hunter of last resort, a tough and stoic gunslinger who can track down anyone…and anything. Having survived death, Jonah’s violent history is steeped in myth and legend, and has left him with one foot in the natural world and one on the “other side.”

His only human connection is with Lila (Megan Fox), whose life in a brothel has left her with scars of her own. Jonah’s past is about to catch up with him when the U.S. military makes him an offer he can’t refuse: in exchange for his freedom from the warrants on his head, he must track down and stop the dangerous terrorist Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich). But Turnbull, who is gathering an army and preparing to unleash Hell, is also Jonah’s oldest enemy and will stop at nothing until Jonah is dead.

Based on the legendary character from the graphic novels, Jonah Hex is an epic adventure thriller about one man’s personal quest for redemption against the vast canvas of the battle between good and evil.

JONAH HEX hits theaters on June 18th.
