Jalouse Magazine Apologizes To Megan Fox

Jalouse Magazine has apologized to actress Megan Fox for misquoting her in their March issue. The French magazine issued the following statement: “In a Jalouse cover story featuring Ms. Megan Fox, we unfortunately misquoted Ms. Fox. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

The magazine had quoted Fox as saying that she “wouldn’t trade places with an unattractive girl,” which sparked controversy when it hit the internet. Fox had previously commented on the story by posting on her Facebook that “The actual comment, the context and it’s intention are grossly distorted and misrepresented here. I gave this interview in English obviously, it was then translated to French and now back into English. I’ve never made vapid self serving comments and in contradiction am uncontrollably self deprecating.”

Fox thanked the magazine for apologizing on her Facebook by writing “Thank you Jalouse Magazine for printing the … retraction.”

Here’s the full ‘quote’ Jalouse originally printed:

‘I live well with my image. I cannot complain. I would not trade my place with an unattractive girl.’

‘I hate taking pictures. I never look at them, otherwise I would have to change everything. I prefer not to see any and trust the photographer, who knows his job.. I was never the pretty girl.’

Megan Fox Ranks #8 On Maxim Hot 100 List 2012

Maxim has released their annual Hot 100 list and 26-year-old Israeli model, Bar Refaeli made the number one spot for 2012.

The top three for the Maxim Hot 100 list is Mila Kunis ranked in the number three spot with Olivia Munn ahead of her in number two. The top ten is rounded out by Katy Perry, Olivia Wilde, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, Megan Fox, Malin Akerman and Adrianne Palicki.

For the first time in Maxim history, readers were part of the voting and selecting process of the Hot List 100. With readers a part of the process, for the first year a man and a cartoon made it on the list. Stephen Colbert ranked at number 69 and Lois Griffin from Family Guy made 85th rank.

Editor Dan Bova says Maxim put a list of suggestions online but then write-ins were allowed. “The Colbert Nation turned out in force. As we say: Democracy isn’t pretty, but this time, it was downright handsome.”

On the Maxim website it states: “Our fellow Americans: As we’re reminded every four years, democracy is the cornerstone upon which our great land is built. That’s why this year, for the first time in Hot 100 history, we let you, the readers of Maxim, weigh in on who should comprise the definitive list of the world’s most beautiful women. From movie stars to murder suspects to a cartoon, here are the sexy results. God bless America!”

Bova added letting the readers vote has said a lot about what their preferences are. He says that readers just don’t appreciate beautiful women, but also want women with a sense of humor. “Maxim readers not only appreciate a beautiful-looking woman. They like women who have a great sense of fun, who are kind of like guy’s guys. A lot of these women are in comedies or are just big personalities. They’re not above it all. They like to do silly things. And I think our guys respond to a woman who is not only beautiful, she’s also approachable. She would probably be the coolest person on Earth to hang out with.”

Winner of Maxim Hot 100 Bar Refaeli said in a phone call interview from Israel about topping the list, “Every year, it’s a different girl that I look up to. For me to be among them, it’s an honor. I am shocked that among all these beautiful ladies, I’m number one. Thank you so much for voting for me! I’m truly honored. This is the title I will never forget.”

Megan Fox shuts down TV interview over baby question

Steve Jones’ interview with Megan Fox was cut short on Thursday when the British TV personality breached guidelines by asking the actress about baby rumors.

The former host of “The X Factor “was chatting to the “Transformers” star about her new gig as the face of gadgets store The Sharper Image for “Entertainment Tonight” when he asked Fox about her favorite toy.

He then stumped her when he quipped, “Do you know the ultimate gadget that every man wants? A baby.”

A puzzled Fox replied, “A baby?” She then added, “Oh, I know where you’re going with this …”

The actress has yet to address ongoing reports suggesting she is expecting her first child with husband Brain Austin Green.

Jones pressed on and asked, “Any plans to give anybody a baby?”

Fox talked over the interviewer and said, “You hear the grumbles … No, no,” before a publicist could be heard urging him to wrap up the interview.

The TV host ended the brief chat by stating, “Either way, Megan, it was a pleasure talking to you.”

Speaking on the show after the interview, Jones joked, “I’d like to formerly apologize to Ms. Fox for attacking her with the word baby. Thankfully, there was a publicist there to stop me.”
