Thank you for sharing your family's story with
me. It was a pleasure to meet you recently, and I
was deeply moved to learn of Megan and her courageous
struggle.
I am committed to an
effective strategy of more research, prevention, and
treatment in the war on AIDS. My Administration is
working to ensure that our nation has the resources in
all of these areas to advance our overall goals: to
reduce the number of new HIV infections, to provide
scientists with funding to examine the AIDS virus and its
impact on the human body, and to ensure that people
living with the disease have access to high-quality,
cost-effective services.
As I work with Congress on
this important issue, I am grateful for all the work you
and Megan are doing. Both of you are in my thoughts
and prayers.
Sincerely,
